The Board of Directors of Middle and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has postponed today’s intermediate and matriculation exam due to escalating tension between Pakistan and India.
The examined exams include Islamiyat (elective) and principles of accounting theory exams for Inter part II as well as a computer science practical exam for matric students.
A BISE spokesman confirmed the postponement with reference to security concerns following military strikes between the two countries. The spokesman assured that a new schedule for the exams would be announced over time.
The decision comes in the midst of increased military activity along the control line after an Indian strike in several places in Pakistan.
In return, the Pakistani army lowered five Indian fighter jets and a fighting drone in response to unprovoked aggression and violations of the airspace.
Authorities have called on students and the public to stay up to date as the situation continues to develop.
Earlier, the British Council announced that all studies planned for today will move on as planned, despite increased military tension between Pakistan and India.
In an official statement published on its Facebook page, the organization said, “All exams scheduled for today will continue as scheduled. We will keep you updated if there are changes.”
Students were asked to contact their respective schools or the Customer Service Center in the event of private candidates for any exam -related queries.
