- AMDS RX 9060 XT was rumored to launch in mid -May even though GPU may not be sold until June
- A well-known YouTube leaks believe that 9060 XT will be well stocked when it arrives
- Expect similar quantities like RX 9070 XT launch and it can be a problem for nvidia that struggles to get RTX 5060 Ti models out there
AMDS RX 9060 XT graphics card – which is still only rumored to be next to the RDNA 4 family – will reportedly have healthy storage levels when it arrives.
That’s the conclusion of Moore’s law is dead (MLID), a leak on YouTube that regularly delivers GPU and CPU-related Skrav.
MLID quotes several sources, the first of which is based outside the United States and expects there will be a ‘pretty good supply’ on the RX 9060 XT GPUs, although no fixed numbers are given (of any of these sources, I have to add).
Another source of a major online retailer in the United States claims that the launch stock for this AMD graphics card feels “very optimistic” and another source (also in the US) backing up.
This feels somewhat more guard than youtuber usually is, but nonetheless, there is clearly a positive atmosphere about how much stock AMD is likely to pattern for the RX 9060 XT. In fact, Mlid emphasizes that this should be a similar launch as the RX 9070 XT that arrived at decent numbers that you may remember. (Although GPU due to demand still sold very quickly, or at least models on or near MSRP did).
WARNING MLID adds is that the United States can be slightly less well delivered to 9060 XT than other countries, or at least it is an option.
Another point treated here is that the 9060 XT probably does not affect the stock of AMDS 9070 XT in the near future, according to YouTub’s best guess.

Analysis: Should Nvidia be concerned? It looks like this
It certainly makes sense to me that the RX 9070 XT (or Vanilla 9070) stock would not suffer due to the launch of this third RDNA 4 GPU (not counting GRE, which is only Asia, for now anyway). This is because the two existing graphics cards use the NAVI 48 chip, whereas 9060 XT is built around another engine, Navi 44 GPU.
So the latter chip can’t cannibalize the former (not directly, anyway). And also because there is more profits that need to be made on the more expensive 9070 models – especially XT – it makes sense that AMD will miss it (by sacrificing any 9070 production in favor of 9060 XT).
If AMD can really deliver the RX 9060 XT in a decent quantity that suggested here, it will be problems for NVIDIA that struggle to get its RTX 5060 TI graphics card – which team Red’s in -depth RDNA 4 GPU should compete – on the shelves of any real number.
Yes, you can find RTX 5060 TI models for sale and there are a few variants of the 8 GB version around the US at the moment. However, it is more of a reflection of the general unpopularity of this GPU – and even then the cheapest you get is still 10% above MSRP. With the better received RTX 5060 TI 16GB, I could only spot one in the US (all this is at the time of writing), but this time it is 15% above the recommended price so you pay a prize.
What we still don’t know is of course MSRP for RX 9060 XT. As mentioned in the beginning, this GPU is not even officially confirmed yet, so much less the price. All we know is that there is some kind of new RDNA 4 graphics card coming this quarter, but with the weight of the rumors at this point it is pretty sure to be 9060 XT.
Pricing will, of course, be key, and MLID believes AMD will beat the RX 9060 XT somewhere between $ 329 to $ 379 in the US (and on line elsewhere). It is also for the rumor 16 GB version of the graphics card, not the 8 GB variant (which will be launched next to it, at least according to some speculation). At the lower end of this price scale, this can be a murderer blow to Nvidia in the lower mid-range room (again, depending on exactly how performance pans out).
There are too many unknowns to get too excited yet, and to look at the overall picture – and where Nvidia is with its RTX 5060 models – I am concerned that there is not much of a driving force for AMD to beat its new participant to the GPU scene towards the more compelling end of the rumor.
What Nvidia has in favor of right now is that while Grapevine expects AMD to launch the RX 9060 XT very soon – on May 21, in fact, these graphics card may not be on shelves until June. As always read with all this. What we know is that Nvidia’s RTX 5060 (non-ten) is sold on May 19, though again, its 8 GB VRAM Loadout (everywhere) is to prove controversial, just as with the version of the RTX 5060 TI at the moment.
