- AI threatens jobs across sectors from routine work to skilled professions
- Crowdstrike cuts 500 jobs with reference to efficiency and AI-driven restructuring

Many people worry that the increase in AI and Robotics can lead to job losses, as machines are becoming more and more able to perform tasks faster, cheaper and more accurate than humans, there has been concern for long -term impact on employment, wages and job security.
Even skilled professions, such as those in health care, finance, law and technology, may not be immune. AI’s growing capacity suggests that no sector is absolutely safe against disturbance.
These concerns are no longer hypothetical, they become reality for some IT workers after Crowdstrike has recently announced that it cuts 500 jobs, which corresponds to approx. 5% of its workforce.
Adjust the company
In a memo that announced the cuts, the security company’s CEO George Kurtz said: “Crowdstrike is defined by our mission to stop violations, our disciplined execution and our commitment to protect customers.”
“Today, our customers are facing an intensified trussel landscape and growing complexity. They have confidence in us to help them move faster and function more safely. To continue to earn this trust, we develop how we work.”
Explained that the company would be “adapting” parts of the company “to continue scaling with focus and discipline” and explained that: “AI has always been fundamental to how we work. AI Flat our employment baskets and helps us innovate from idea to product faster. The streamline goes to the market, improves customer exit and drives efficiency across both front and behind.
Crowdstrike is not the only tech company that cuts jobs because of AI.
The Wall Street Journal Reports IBM has, “used artificial intelligence and specifically AI agents to replace the work for a few hundred human resources.”
However, as a result of these cuts, it was able to hire more programmers and sales and marketers.
“While we have done a huge amount of work inside IBM to utilize AI and automation at certain business work, our overall employment has actually risen, because what it does is it gives you more investments to put in other areas,” IBM CEO ARVIND KRISHNA told the publication.
So while AI may be taking some people’s jobs, it results in an increase in opportunities in other areas.
Krishna also called on Trump -Administration to rise, rather than cut Techcrunch:
“We have been an extremely strong spokesman – and this is both the company and me personally – on the federally funded R&D should be increased. It is the position that is unequivocal and we believe in it strongly.”
