Colorado Rockies’ ABYSMALE START on their 2025 campaign hit a new low on Saturday as they fell to San Diego Padres, 21-0, at Coors Field, marking the team’s worst closure loss in the franchise history.
When Padres poured it on, MLB fans couldn’t believe what they were watching and their voices were heard on social media
The on-site product has been cruel throughout the year as their 6-33 record is by far the worst in MLB. But a football score was on the board at Coors Field, and the Rockies fans in the stands, there was a lot of the number of Padre’s supporters, sang after change.

“Rockies lose 19-0 at the bottom of the fifth,” sent an X user. “The audience sings, ‘Sell the team, sell the team.'”
This is not the first time Rockies owner Dick Monfort has heard song about selling his team as they haven’t had a winning record since 2018 and lost over 100 matches in each of the last two seasons.
LongTime Denver Gazette -Paltist Woody Paige gave his roof after watching Saturday’s match.

“Delusional Dick Monfort said before season in rare form Rockies could have the best defense in the baseball story,” wrote Paige on X. “Roxhead was just a little outside. Rockies leads MLB in error and is last in field percentage. Go back to Greeley, Dick, and take the stench with you.”
A young child held a sign in the grandstand reading, “My arm rests if necessary!” Shows how desperate fans are to see a good product.
“Send Rockies to Triple-A,” sent another X user.
“Leagues have to step in and take teams from excellent ownership, McCourt style,” another wrote. “Rockie’s ownership just isn’t worth having that team anymore. [Nolan] Arenado trading was the absolute end. “

On the other hand, some noticed that there were still many fans in the stands despite the terrible deficit. Just look at the crowd as Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. smuggled a three-run Homer to make it 19-0.
A fan gave a perspective on why Monfort would never sell.
“It’s 20-0 #padres in the sixth lap, and fans make the wave with the time of their lives,” posted an X user. “This is the reason Monfort’s not selling #Rockies. Fans don’t care. Good weather, beer, etc. Patetic for a real baseball fan.”
One of the true baseball fans urged Rockie’s supporters to stop going to games after watching last night.
“As a native in Colorado, it’s absolutely embarrassing that people still go to the fighting and complain about how bad they are,” he wrote. “… you are the reason why Monfort’s not selling. Stop participating and giving them money.”
In the end, at least Rockies’ social media team is trying to find a way to light up the situation.

The MLB record for most losses in a single year – 121 – was set by Chicago White Sox in 2024.
Rockies seem to compete with the evil record.
