Security forces have killed at least nine Indian sponsored terrorists in three separate operations performed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing said on Sunday.
According to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation of the security forces in Dera Ismail Khan district of the reported presence of Indian sponsored terrorists was performed.
“During the performance of the operation engaged own troops effectively Khwarij [terrorists] Location, and after an intense fire exchange, four Indian sponsored Khwarij were sent to hell, ”the statement read.
Another intelligence -based operation was performed in the Tank District, and in subsequent fire exchange two more Indian sponsored terrorists were killed.
In the third meeting that took place in the ordinary Bagh, Khyber District, neutralized troops successfully three more terrorists, the ISPR said.
Weapons and ammunition were also regained from the killed terrorists who remained actively involved in several terrorist activities in these areas.
Sanitization operations were performed to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area when the security forces in Pakistan “are determined to wipe out the threat of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country”.
Pakistan has witnessed a wave of terrorist events since the Taliban -Handers returned to Afghanistan in 2021, especially in the bordering provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
However, the first quarter of 2025 were some promising trends in the security landscape of Pakistan, with the fatal accidents of militants and rebels, the number of cumulative losses of civil and security forces staff.

Individually, Balochistan LED 35% of all fatalities during the period investigated, and compared to the last quarter, it recorded an alarming 15% increase in violence. The comparison disregards the surge that is registered in other provinces/ regions as the number of deaths remains very low.
