- Nintendo has announced a new Splatoon Spin-off game called Splatoon Raiders
- The game is launched exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 but does not yet have a release date
- Splatoon 3 Also gets a free update to Switch and Switch 2, the latter getting some visual improvements
Nintendo has announced Splatoon Raidersthe first spin-off game ever in Splatoon series, and it releases exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2.
Surprise game -The revelation did not come from a new Nintendo Direct exhibition window, but rather a ‘research report from Squid Research Lab’ YouTube video.
Not much was shown in the message except for a short teaser trailer and a glimpse of gameplay showing the player’s Incling to explore a new frame called Spirhalite Islands.
Nintendo has also offered a brief description of the game via its official site that sounds, “In the role of a mechanic, players will go on an adventure in the mysterious Spirhalitic Islands along with the Splat-Tacular Deep-cut Trio.”
Splatoon Raiders is still in development and there is no release date yet. Hopefully we hear more about the game during the next Nintendo Direct when it may be.

In addition, the unveiling of the new game Nintendo has confirmed that a free update to Splatoon 3 Coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 this week on June 12th.
The update will include the Splatlands collection, which consists of 30 new weapons set from the Barazushi and Emberz brands. These new additions based on previous weapons offer fresh appearance with different sub and special weapons.
Urchin the downfall stage from the original Splatoon The game on Wii U is also returning and will be added to the scener rotation.
All weapons freshness hoods are also raised with the update and players can serve new badges in the game.
A new state is also added to Anarchy Battle (Series) called Series Weapon Power, which tracks players’ efficiency per year. Weapons based on their win/loss conditions in the beats and then matches them with players of a similar power.
“This allows players to try new weapons without being disadvantaged and pushing the boundaries of their favorite weapons,” Nintendo explained.
While all these features will be added across both Switch and Switch 2, Switch 2 players can also expect a performance update that will offer detailed visuals and a smoother look in places like Splatsville and Grand Festival Grounds.
With Splatoon 3Switch 2 update, Nintendo has also confirmed that players can play together across Switch and the new console.
