PPP chairman and leader of a high-level parliamentary delegation Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Wednesday that India’s tale was based on ‘lies and propaganda’, while Pakistan’s attitude was rooted I’TRUTH AND PEACE. ‘
He criticized India for using terrorism as a foreign policy tool and pointed out that Indian agencies had targeted SIKH activists around the world.
When he spoke at a news conference with the delegation members, Bilawal said that US President Donald Trump’s multiple offers of mediation reflected his desire to establish peace between Pakistan and India. However, he regretted that the Indian government seemed to sabotage such an effort.
He welcomed the recent Ministry of State’s recent statement and highlighted former President Donald Trump’s willingness to convey the Kashmir question during his term of office.
“Pakistan has always sought peace through dialogue and diplomacy,” Bilawal said, emphasizing that solving all outstanding problems, including Jammu and Kashmir, must come through peaceful negotiations.
He emphasized that lasting peace between Pakistan and India was in the interest of the international community.
Bilawal claimed that India had repeatedly failed to present credible evidence to support its terrorist deportations against Pakistan. “Despite our continuous demands, India has not been able to prove any of his claims,” he said.
He said, “India knows well that Pakistan has no relations with terrorism. Its efforts that malignant will fail and we will continue to pursue peace in the region.”
He also said that Pakistan sought peaceful solutions to all disputes – Kashmir and water issues – through dialogue.
Bilawal said, “Even President Trump acknowledged that Kashmir dialogue is important. If the United States is to push India to the negotiating table, it must because peace is in the world’s best interest.”
Bilawal also condemned India’s reported campaign against SIKH communities abroad and its involvement in terrorism in Pakistan. “We urge India to stop sponsoring terrorism beyond its borders,” he added.
He warned that India’s threats of cutting off water supplies to Pakistan was a violation of the UN Charter.
In a comment on Pakistan’s recent security results, Bilawal said: “The recent conflict has shown that even as a smaller nation, Pakistan has the strength to defend itself on all fronts.”
