One-time UFC Middleweight Champion Sean Strickland made his attitude aware of the notion that America joins Israel in a war against Iran on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old fighter sent a post on X in response to a post from President Donald Trump, who called on commander-in-chief not to involve the United States in the ongoing conflict. Trump’s post boasted that the US military took “complete and total control over Iran’s sky.”

“America will not be involved in the war of Israel …… this is not our war. We do not want it. You were chosen by the people. Listen to the people who chose you. We do not want this !!!!” Strickland wrote in response to Trump.

Strickland has previously expressed support to Trump, and the president has occasionally been present to see Strickland fighting in Octagon at past events.

Strickland even publicly declared his support to Trump after a win over Paulo Costa at UFC 302 in June 2024.

However, Strickland has also been vocal in his attitude that he does not want Trump to sit with Israel at the expense of American interest.

In February 10, Strickland even suggested that he would start giving up a Palestinian flag in the midst of reports of a Trump agreement to sell $ 8 billion to Israel.

“Man whose Trump holds up this BS, I’m about to start waving a Palestinian flag .. American cities are shithholes and you want to spend billions on this dumpster -fire .. Are we made a mistake?! This isn’t America first ..” Strickland wrote.

Another professional athlete has also talked about their attitude not to support Trump with Israel in a war against Iran.

Formerly Cincinnati Red’s Shortstop Zack Cozart, who has also been a shock Trump supporter in the past, expressed a similar mood as Strickland in an X post on Monday.

Trump says Iran ‘would like to talk’ about calling down the Israel-Iran conflict

“If Trump gets us in a war, I will no longer support him and I’m sure most of you know I love Trump,” Cozart wrote.

Trump told reporters aboard the Air Force One over a night over flight back to Washington That he was looking to achieve something better than a ceasefire and would meet with advisers in the situation space early Tuesday.

“We look better than a ceasefire,” Trump said. “We’re not looking for a ceasefire. I didn’t say I was looking for a ceasefire.”

Trump refused earlier reports that he rushed back to Washington to work on a ceasefire and said on the social platform of his truth that “it certainly has nothing to do with a cessation fire. Much greater than that.”

Trump also issued an ominous warning on the platform on Monday night and wrote that “Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon” and “Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”

When journalists aboard the Air Force asked one about his call to the residents of Tehran to evacuate, Trump said there was no threat but “there are many bad things happening and I think it is safer for them to evacuate.”

When Trump was again asked if the United States involved militarily would secure an end to Iran’s nuclear program, Trump said, “I hope their program will be wiped out long before that. They will not have a nuclear weapon.”

Trump said he might be considering sending Vice President JD Vance and the US Special envoy to Middle East Steve Witkoff to meet with The Iranians.

“It depends on what happens when I come back,” Trump said of the Israeli-Iran-Iran conflict and told journalists that “nobody has slowed down so far.”
