The Washington commanders will eventually return to the country’s capital and play at the old RFK Stadium site in an advanced stadium.
One of the keys to serving federal legislators’ support to build the stadium was there to have “good faith-negotiations” to honor the heritage of franchise as the Redskins and the Native American family that created the original logo that the team used for decades before changing names.

While commanders -Team owner Josh Harris has made it clear that commanders nickname are here to stay, the Super Bowl -Master Joe Theismann expressed optimism that the franchise will find a way to honor the logo and the family behind it.
“I think Josh Harris and his group are definitely aware of what Redskins was – obviously being a big fan growing up in this area, it’s a dream I’m sure I’m sure he and some of the people who are part of the ownership group,” Theismann told Pakinomist Digital. “Somehow, form or form, they may have to honor it.
“I don’t know if people are aware of, but the Redskin logo that was on our helmets was designed by an Native American, and it would be a great honor to be able to continue honoring Indians and the tribes that are part of it in the future. I mean, that’s how I felt when I put it unifor. Chief’s headgear.

Theismann was firmly by the fact that the new faces of the franchise had to establish their own way forward when the commanders as Redskins from his day established theirs.
“Let this group of guys called the commanders establish their own heritage,” he said. “We had one, now it’s their turn to establish theirs.”
Blackie Wetzel was credited to create a portrait of John Two Guns White Calf in 1971, which Washington Redskins used in 1972, Pakinomist reported Digital earlier. Descendants of two guns White Calf called for the image to be back in the NFL.
Theismann spoke with Pakinomist Digital prior to his performance on the American Century Championship Golf Tournament at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Club.
