Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari claimed that India, after suffering a humiliating defeat on the battlefield, also failed in his diplomatic campaign against Pakistan abroad, while Islamabad’s narrative was prevalent on the international scene.
Bilawal led a delegation to the US and Europe appointed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to present Islamabad’s perspective on recent conflict with India.
The visit was to ensure international support, especially from the European Union, to help prevent further escalation between the two nuclear armed neighbors.

When he spoke after returning from the successful tour of Karachi after a warm welcome on Friday, Bilawal emphasized the delegation’s efforts to convey Pakistan’s message of peace, Kashmir, Indus Waters Treaty and terror control while visiting New York, Washington DC, London and Brussels.
He noted that Pakistan’s armed forces during the conflict with India, although the former was “seven times greater”, achieved a “humiliating defeat” for their opponent – a feat, which he said filled the country with pride.
PPP chairman said Islamabad had overcome India’s efforts to undermine it at the diplomatic level, adding that the country won the diplomatic struggle through tireless endeavors.
“India tried to succeed where it failed on the battlefield – by defeating Pakistan on narrative and diplomatic fronts – but I will tell you that even on that front, Pakistan came victorious and India failed.”

He claimed that Pakistan was standing on the side of the truth while India trusted untruth – a contrast he said was evident in the international media where Pakistan’s narrative had traction and India could not resonate.
When he remembered the last month’s skirmish with the neighboring country, he said Pakistan’s armed forces had shot six Indian jets – a denial originally issued by India, but later admitted a month later.
He emphasized that Kashmir has been Pakistan’s most important topic since the partition, he emphasized that Pakistan raised his voice for Kashmir everywhere.
“Before the war, India’s attitude was that Kashmir was a bilateral case. Now they must acknowledge that it is no longer an internal question, but an international.”

He also referred to US President Donald Trump’s comments and said the United States was prepared to facilitate conversations between Pakistan and India to solve Kashmir – a “historical success,” he said.
He approached Pakistan’s water safety and warned that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s threat of limiting the flow of the river Indus – described as an unprecedented step – would not go undisputed.
“When it comes to Indus, PPP will lead the charge, whether domestic or international,” he said.

He issued a strict warning to India: “You have two options: Either comply with international law and the Indus Waters Treaty, which assigns three rivers to Pakistan and three to India, or face another war – and all six rivers will be ours.”
Bilawal also questioned why domestic political actors, whom he accused of encouraging hatred and division, were silent in the light of India’s water threat and insisted that these politicians had long been funded by India and accused them of raising sectarian slogans in Balochistan and Sindh.
“The people of Sindh will never forgive these political orphans for their silence today,” he added, referring to their apparent passivity over the river threats and the worries of water safety.
