Pakistan’s meteorological department (PMD) has expected heavy rainfall from June 26 to June 28 with potential flash river, the city’s flood and landslide in several regions.

Moist currents from the Arabian Sea and Bengalbugt along with a western wave will bring widespread rain, thunderstorms and gusty wind to areas such as Murree, Galliyat, Dera Ghazi Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Kashmir.

Landslides are a significant concern in vulnerable hilly areas, and the government has advised the residents of these regions to avoid traveling through risky routes.

Weather conditions can also damage weak structures, including cacha houses, electric poles and vehicles.

The forecast continues to predict rainfall, Gusty Vind and Thunderstorms across several districts on Thursday and Friday, with isolated heavy falls expected.

The weather department encourages people to stay aware as the weather can interfere with daily life and cause significant damage in the affected areas.

On Friday, partially cloudy weather is expected to prevail in most districts. However, rain, wind and thunderstorms are expected with Gusty wins in several regions, including Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Khairpur, Dadu, Succur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Hyderabad and Karachi. Insulated heavy rain is expected in these areas during the period.

Over the last day, rain and thunderstorms were reported in upper khyber pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab, Islamabad and Kashmir with heavyfalls in several areas such as Malam Jabba (70 mm) and Kasur (63 mm).

The hottest registered temperatures were 46 ° C in Dalbandin and 45 ° C in several other cities, with very humid conditions that prevailed in most of the country.
