- Hoverair Aqua is the world’s first waterproof self -flying camera

I think the camera market market is undergoing a marine change (word game very intended) thanks to the upcoming Hoverair Aqua from Zero Zero Robotics. Teased on the company’s website, this little life jacket-orange quadcopter is the first really surprising flyer I’ve seen in ages.
As a product reviewer, I have tested dozens of drones in the last decade or so, and although they have gotten better and better in terms of flight ability, battery life and camera performance, it is not often a new message introducing me to something completely unforeseen.
Aqua does this by being the first water -nodal drone for the masses. Most drones must be flew very carefully around water masses as the reflective surface can fox their safety sensors and result in a can in the drink. And none of the previous drones I’ve gone through are even built to fly on a rainy day, so much less landing in a lake.
Not so Hoverair Aqua. It is built to be fully waterproof and launched and lands on the water. In fact, it seems to have been designed specifically to catch water sports such as kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and windsurfing, after its item automatically like Zero Zero’s previous drones, the self-flying Hoverair X1 and Hoverair X1 Pro.
To help with this in this goal, it comes with level 7 wind resistance and a top speed of 55 km / h / 34 km / h, which should give it the opportunity to keep up with some fairly fast forms of water -borne transport. The rest of Aqua’s specifications and features remain under wrapping for now, but with the drone, who is now officially confirming that more details will soon appear.
The wave of the future
While Hoverair Aqua sounds like a more niche, special product than HoverAir X1 or, says, DJI Mini 4 Pro, we don’t yet know how useful it can be for land -based launch.
The fact that it shakes things up and takes camera crowns in a new direction does it for me, one of the most exciting drones I’ve seen in recent years. As a person living on the coast, the idea of flying a drone is right down on the water instead of keeping it a safe distance away very appealing.
I need to add that Aqua is not the only innovative drone coming this year with Antigravity’s 360 camera -equipped debut model, which is also due to launch. But it has quickly risen to the top of the list of upcoming (or rumors of being upcoming) drones, I am most exciting to go for a test flight.
If nothing else, it gives me the perfect excuse to finally get out on the stand-up paddle board that has collected dust in my extra bedroom. And maybe it’s time to finally pull in the trigger by buying that wetsuit?
Just when the drone market was in danger of getting a little out of date, Zero Zero Robotics has given things a light orange shot in the arm. I will eagerly scan the horizon for the next details round at Hoverair Aqua, so be sure to check back for more news soon.
