- Google Pixel 10 -Series could launch a week later than Pixel 9
- Plus, leaked photos give us a look at the possible design of Pixel 10 Pro
- And Pixel 10’s ringtone is also leaked
Google announced the Pixel 9 series on August 13 last year and if anything we would have predicted Google Pixel 10 -line could land earlier this year. After all, some Pixel Superfans may have to preview the devices as early as June 27, but a new leak suggests that the Pixel 10 line will actually land later in the year than the Pixel 9 series did last year.
These are, according to sources, talking to Android headlines that claim that the Pixel 10 series will be announced on August 20 -so it’s a week later than last year’s launch.
Pre-orders probably start the same day, and the Pixel 10 Series-which is expected to include the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold apparently sending just over a week later, on August 28.
However, we would take this with a pinch of salt, because along with this was a long time after the event on June 27, when the units may be given preview, this would probably also be long after the launch of Android 16.
Typically, Google is launching new versions of Android towards the end of the year, but this year it is moving its schedules, so it would make a certain amount of sense to similar change its smartphone release dates forward to have new devices to show the new software.
Of course, Google also needs time to actually develop and manufacture new Pixel models, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the company stayed for an August release for that reason.
In any case, this is not the only new Pixel 10 leakage, as photos of what seems to be a Pixel 10 Pro prototype has been shared by someone who calls itself mysterious leaks (via Android Authority).
The pictures – as you can see above – show a phone that looks very much like the Pixel 9 Pro, but with a thinner metal edge around the camera, and the SIM card tray, which is relocated to the top edge.
The pictures also show the phone running an app showing some specifications, including the expected Tensor G5 chipset, 16 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage.
While we would take this leak with a pinch of salt, it certainly looks convincing and matches with leaked pixel 10 reproductions.
An adventure in sound
Finally, what is alleged that Google Pixel 10 Ringtone has also been shared with some system sounds.
You can hear them in the YouTube video from Thevakhovesk above (via Android headlines). Ringetone is apparently called ‘The Next Adventure’, which would create a similar naming form as Pixel 9’s ‘Your New Adventure’ Ringtone.
Based on previous form, however, it is likely that these sounds will also come to older pixels, so you probably don’t have to buy a Pixel 10 model to get them.
