- Majority launches 4 speakers, from 12W to 70W power
- Bluetooth 6.0 plus LED lighting, USB, aux and microSD on three models
- From £29 to £119 – US launch coming later
Saying that Majority’s new Bluetooth speakers seem to be inspired by JBL is a bit like saying that Oasis was inspired by The Beatles – but then again, there are only so many ways you can design a speaker or put three chords together. And the new Move M1, M2, M3 and M4 are all beautiful, well-specified and sharply priced.
All four speakers are available now in the UK, but Majority told TechRadar that they have a US distributor and “will announce launch plans later this year”.
The baby of the series is the palm-sized Move M1, which is a 12W speaker with 70 hours of playtime (which is… impressive), IPX5 waterproofing, stereo pairing of two devices and hands-free calling via your phone. Its official price is £29.99 (approx $40 / AU$60).
Majority Move Bluetooth speakers: key features and prices
Next up is the £49.95 (approx $70 / AU$100) Move M2, which puts out 30W and has USB connectivity, aux-in and microSD playback capabilities. It also has dynamic LED lighting to set the mood and play time is 30 hours.
The Move M3 has a very similar specification to the M2, but increases the power to 40W and costs £79.95 (approx $110 / AU$160).
The flagship is the Move M4, the most powerful of the four. It is a 70W speaker with Bluetooth 6.0, 30 hours of playing time, IPX7 waterproofing and stereo pairing. Once again, the Move M4 has USB, aux-in and microSD inputs, and there are dynamic LEDs to set the mood. The Move M4 costs £119.95 ($160 / AU$240).
With long battery life and lower prices than similarly sized JBL Bluetooth speakers, plus microSD music playback as a bonus, these could be very tempting – Majority have made some great value in the past, but we’ll have to test these to see if they sound good enough.
