- Another Samsung Tri-Fold Leakage is shown
- It shows the phone’s interior folding mechanism
- We could see it revealed later this month
We have patiently been waiting for the Samsung Tri-Fold phone to get its official disclosure ever since it was teased back in January, but it seems that the wait may soon be over-and a new leak suggests how the collapsible mechanism works.
The leak is in the form of a video animation hidden in a UI 8, posted by @techhighest (via 9to5Google). The same source has previously sent other graphics of Tri-Fold, which shows its design and mentioned some of its key features.
This latest leak is apparently confirming the inward, U-shaped design of Tri-Fold, which differs from the S-shaped design adopted by Huawei Mate XT – where part of the main display acts as the outer display when the handset is closed.
With a U-shaped design, there is a cover display beyond the main display, which is on a conventional book style that is foldable like Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. In the leaked video we have here we can see how the form factor works when we take a selfie.
What we think we know so far

We have heard that Samsung Tri-Fold would deviate from the Huawei flagship in this regard for almost a year now, so this latest leak is no surprise-but it is the most compelling proof we have yet seen about how the folding will work.
There have been plenty of other rumors around this survived device of course. A titanium frame, 16 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon chip is apparently everyone involved, and you are likely to have to pay a great deal to get one.
We expect some multi-tasking upgrades to a UI 8 specifically for this foldable, and its main screen will apparently measure a significant 10 inch from corner to corner. We can also see some upgraded battery technology included.
Rumors are that the phone will be announced on Monday, September 29, though it may not be available to buy until November – with some reports suggesting it will only be sold in South Korea and China.
