- Sora 2 has appeared in the Google Play Store
- However, it is not yet available to download
- AI-Video app remains invited only on iOS
Sora 2 has been a smash hit since the AI videoorerator and Tiktok style on social media platform launched on iPhone a few weeks ago and it seems that Android users will be able to attend the party very soon.
As discovered by @artemr (via Android police), a list of Sora 2 has now appeared in the Google Play store. For now, however, you can only predict your interest if you are in the US and Canada – Download is not available.
Also remember that Sora 2 remains invited only to iOS, at least for the time being and will probably be like that on Android. However, there is a chance that the Android launch may coincide with the app made available to anyone who wants to sign up.
Sora and Chatgpt Developer Openai undoubtedly try to manage demand, with the company’s CEO Sam Altman Recently to say that users create many more videos than originally expected – and they all come up with a significant cost in terms of treatment.

Although access to Sora 2 remains limited for now, it has not stopped AI video clips generated by the app, which spreads far and wide over the Internet, with all kinds of wild and surreal scenarios.
In fact, we have been able to try it for ourselves, which has left us both impressed with the capacities in Sora 2, and rather concerned about what it means for the future of video content and the Internet in general.
The success of the app has once again highlighted the legal and ethical implications of creating fake videos with real people in them, whether it is a celebrity or someone in your family – and this debate is likely to run and run.
When you have an invitation, the app is free to use with what Openai describes as “generous” limits to how many videos you can create. It has helped Sora 2 shoot to the top of the Apple App Store hit lists, which can also soon happen on Android.
