Confusion AI has attracted attention with an unsolicited $ 34.5 billion cash offer to acquire Google’s Chrome browser.
The proposal comes despite the fact that Chrome is not officially for sale and its deeply integration into Google’s wider AI strategy, not to mention its wider software platform.
Analysts consider the commandment as an ambitious step aimed at increasing advertising, given Chrome’s role in running search traffic, supporting AI tools and collecting user data that is important for Google’s long-term machine learning and Large Language Model (LLM) development.

If Perplexity’s commandments are mainly a visibility strategy, it can succeed in drawing attention to Comet, but it probably won’t scratch Chromes dominance.
