New York Yankees Manager Aaron Boone called it a “terrible week” for the organization. Aaron Judge would certainly agree for Saturday’s loss.

Yankees dropped their sixth consecutive match on Saturday and suffered a crushing 12-6 loss to New York Mets.

The loss marked the second losing series of six matches this year, their first was from June 13 to 18, and the first time since 2000 that the organization has endured two six-game losing stripes in a single season.

Adding the insult to injury, Aaron Judge was left bloody right after the fifth lap thanks to teammate Anthony Volpe.

Yankees players threw the ball around as they went against Dugout when Volpe got the ball. He lobbed it in the direction of an unsuspecting judge. The ball came down on the swallow’s right eye and knocked his sunglasses to the ground.

Boone said he was worried first, but the judge seemed to maintain only a small cut.

He approached the home plate the next ining with a small bandage next to his right eye.

“Yes, I mean, confusion. I didn’t know what happened originally. I just saw some kind of one what felt like something was happening,” Boone said. “So yes, of course I was worried. Had a little cut. In the end, I don’t think anything too serious, of course. But yes, originally, obviously very worried.”

“It’s just the little things. That’s what it kind of comes to – but every good team goes through a few dents in the way,” Judge Saturday.

“We’re cleaning some things. We know what we’re going to do. We take care of business.”
