The New York Jets split with Aaron Rodgers became official in February. The division came almost two years after the four-time NFL MVP’s high profiled arrival in New Jersey.
In those months ago, Rodgers has reportedly drawn interest from the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers and other teams. In March, the Vikings announced that they would move past their discussions with the free agent quarterback.

Rodgers recently visited Steelers’ facilities and several businesses reported that he met with the team’s coaching staff. But Rodgers has not yet decided whether he will continue his NFL career in 2025 or walk away from the game together.

“I just think orally behind the scenes not that he guaranteed it but he is told [the Steelers]’Listen, I’m going to play for you. I just don’t want to go there and then miss part of mandatory mini stamp because of my personal problems. I’m pretty sure they’ll be resolved in late May, at least in my satisfaction where I can give you my everything. “So this is where I think he is,” said O’Connor during a recent 93.7 fan performance.

Steelers’ Mandatory MiniCamp runs from June 10 to June 12.
O’Conner continued to describe steelers as the “perfect place” for Rodgers to bring his established career to quit.
“He knows it was pretty much an embarrassment in New York and he’s the face of that embarrassment,” O’Connor said. “Whether it’s fair or not, it’s the case. It may be me as an optimist, but I think this will work. I think Steelers will win the Super Bowl next year? No. But if you told me 11-6 with at least one playoff victory … I think it’s realistic.”
