Rodgers missed the 2023 season after breaking Hans Achilles on just his fourth snap like a jet. This season he certainly looked like a 40 year old quarterback that came out of a major injury.

At times, however, he returned most in the second half, and Clay Matthews, who won the Super Bowl XLV with Rodgers, thinks Rodgers can create some magic with new guys in charge.
“I would very much like to see him coming back. I voted more than ever this year to see what he was able to,” Matthews told Pakinomist Digital in a recent conversation. “It was clear that there was a lot of excitement, and with the playmakers they had, the trade was trading for Davante Adams. Being an armchair quarterback, you look at ownership, GM fires, head coach fires, but you wonder if he is part of it.

“He still has it. Father time is about to catch up, but you give him some protection and some playcalling, playmakers around him, I think he can still get it.”
Both Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas were fired in the middle of the season, but in Rodgers’ last 10 games he threw in 2,234 yards, 18 touchdowns and four interceptions and had six games with a fit -rating over 100.

The new head coach Aaron Glenn said at his initial press conference that Rodgers will be discussed with a new general manager Darren Mougey. Time Green has the seventh choice in the draft, so it is not exactly prime time for a quarterback, given that it is considered a weak class.
