New York Daily News reports Rodgers prefer to play for Los Angeles Rams.
On top of that, Rodgers can take one of his favorite goals, Davante Adams, with him out west when he becomes a free agent. Adams has made it clear that he will play with Rodgers, and his contract’s fierce $ 35.65 million cap hit for each of the next two seasons makes him a probable candidate to be cut by New York that would not come as A shock to Pro Bowler.
But there is another big obstacle to getting over. Los Angeles has a quarterback on its list.
Matthew Stafford will have $ 50 million to play in 2025 when Rams Handels Weave: Report
The rumors of Matthew Stafford trade rumors are swirling this season, and Rodgers’ wishes are on the back burner because Rams had to move Stafford before a replacement is acquired.

NFL Networks Peter Schrager said Stafford and Rams have a “fine relationship” but he reports that the Super Bowl-Winning Quarterback will have $ 50 million or more to play by 2025. That would put him among the top 10 highest Paid quarterbacks in the league, and only one of them – Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen hurts – has a super bowl ring.
Rams gave Stafford permission to discuss a contract with other teams this season despite being under contract for two more seasons.
According to Sports Illustrated, Quarterback needle teams such as New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers have contacted Stafford. Giants GM Joe Schoen even noticed by the NFL scout combined that he would “take swings” on the top quarterbacks on the market, including Stafford.

In the 2025 season, Stafford carries a hit of $ 49.67 million, according to Spotrac, and that Cap hit rises to $ 53.67 million by 2026.
Rams also made it clear that veteran wide receiving Cooper Kupp, long of Staffford’s most trusted goals, is on the trade block. He is not expected to be at training camp with Los Angeles.
So if and when Stafford and Kupp are traded from Los Angeles, the new duo of Rodgers and Adams could join forces with Bright, Young Star Puka Nacua and the rest of Rams’ team that won an endgame in 2024.
