Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has arrived in Islamabad for his first official visit to Pakistan on invitation from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari welcomed the Crown Prince at the airport in the middle of rainy weather on Thursday.
This visit emphasizes the deeply rooted fraternal bonds between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and reflects the common commitment to further strengthen the bilateral economic partnership, “spokesman for the Foreign Office said in a statement on Wednesday.
During the visit, the Crown Prince will participate in extensive interactions with the management of Pakistan to exchange views on issues of mutual interest, strengthen historical bonds and promote financial as well as investment cooperation.
Several agreements and memorandum on understandings will be signed during the visit to strengthening existing robust framework for long -term cooperation in multifaceted sectors.
On Wednesday, Pakistan and Uzbekistan signed several agreements Wednesday with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation in defense, technology, technical education and youth force.
The agreements were signed under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s two-day visit to Uzbekistan on invitation from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Both countries also agreed to work to expand bilateral trade to $ 2 billion.
After their bilateral meeting and lecture at the delegation level, Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Mirziyoyev witnessed the signing of several documents. These included agreements and mouss in different sectors.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov exchanged documents related to visa -free journey for diplomatic passports, military intelligence, internal affairs, professional and technical education and training of diplomats.
