The scene, maybe not at the time of Hadwin, was comical as water sprayed everywhere with Hadwin trying to push the sprinkler head back into the ground. He was not successful.

The sprinkler was eventually turned off and Hadwin finished the day five-over pair, missing the cut with three shots. But on Friday Valspar Championship revealed that the pro -golf player had paid for the injuries and apologized for his outbursts with some lunch on him.

“In addition to paying for all repairs to @innisbrook -Sprinklers, our Master in 2017, @Adwingolf sent a video message and bought lunch for the entire course maintenance department,” read the post on X.

“A big thank you to Adam Hadwin @jessicahadwin for paid for that sprinkler head and bought our staff lunch. It was a fantastic touch and our staff loved it. Thank you again,” his post on X.

Hadwin’s wife, Jessica, responded to the post on social media and joked that “the next mill makes changes with that sprinkler.”

The chances of Hadwin’s club finding the sprinkler head were rare, but not a first one.

In 1999 at Bay Hill Invitational, it had 21 time due to Tour winner Davis Love III his own match with the sprinkler system. After seeing his shot roll through the green, he slammed the sprinkler with his sandy wedge and crushed the valve.

Water immediately flooded the bunker where he took off his shot.
