- AdGuard VPN has released an updated version of its iOS app
- The update also introduces a 7-day free trial for iPhone users
- The trial period provides unlimited traffic for premium features
AdGuard has rolled out a fresh update to its iPhone VPN application, giving users a new way to test the waters before committing to a long-term subscription.
The recently released AdGuard VPN for iOS v2.10 is centered around giving iPhone users some stability fixes while bringing a full 7-day free trial directly to the Apple App Store.
The move aims to let potential buyers “explore premium features before purchase” by providing full, unlimited access to the carrier’s top-tier plan.
AdGuard VPN’s 7-day free trial
During this week-long window, users will not be limited by the 3GB monthly traffic limit found on AdGuard’s standard free tier. Instead, the trial unlocks all available server locations, removes data caps completely, and allows for up to 10 simultaneous device connections.
According to the provider, this setup is specifically designed to help users test the service in “everyday scenarios – from streaming and gaming to constant background protection on the go.”

To activate the 7-day trial, you must choose an annual subscription via the App Store, although you can cancel before the week is up to avoid being charged.
This is a welcome addition to the highly competitive Apple ecosystem, allowing AdGuard to compete more aggressively with the best VPN providers, many of which already offer money-back guarantees or dedicated trials.
What’s new in AdGuard VPN v2.10?
In addition to the overall trial offering, the v2.10 update brings several behind-the-scenes quality-of-life improvements.
Specifically, developers have squashed bugs related to exporting exclusion lists from Mac to iOS, meaning that your custom routing rules should now sync flawlessly between your Apple computer and your iPhone.
The update also fixes a known issue with the appearance of the app Siri suggestions.
How good is AdGuard VPN?
For those who do not know the provider, AdGuard VPN is built by the same privacy-focused team behind the popular AdGuard ad-blocker.
The service has expanded its footprint aggressively over the past year. It stands out by using an open source custom VPN protocol that can mimic web traffic, making it incredibly difficult for restrictive networks to detect and block your connection.
The company has also been busy refining its broader software ecosystem.
After a major Windows VPN upgrade that prioritized ease of useAdGuard recently expanded its reach by bringing a visually boosted browser extension to Firefox for Android. It even entered the metaverse by launching dedicated VPN and ad-blocker extensions on Meta Quest.
While this new 7-day offer currently headlines the iOS release, it remains to be seen if the company plans to introduce an identical native trial for Android and desktop users. TechRadar has contacted AdGuard directly to ask if this 7-day free trial will be extended to its other applications, and we’ll update this article if we receive a response.
In the meantime, if you’re looking to explore VPNs with free trials, iPhone users now have a good excuse to take AdGuard’s upgraded app for a spin.
