Islamabad:
In what is seen as a goodwill gesture against Islamabad, Afghanistan’s intelligence agency has arrested three suspected recruiters and commands accused of cooperating with the forbidden Tehreek-Etaliban Pakistan (TTP) and other terrorist groups.
General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) performed operations in Paktika and Khost provinces and arrested Mullah Sangin Group’s commander, Hayatullah, alias Ghalchaki Tangiwal with two of his close employees, Sources told Express Pakinomist. GDA officials also disassembled the group’s local office during the attacks.
Sources said the suspects have been moved to Kabul’s Pul-E-Charkhi prison. Hayatullah is accused of being one of the most important commanders responsible for recruiting Afghan citizens to TTP and Tehreek-E-Taliban Gandapur (TTG) fraction.
The suspects were reportedly involved in planning a terrorist attack aimed at disrupting the trilateral meeting between Pakistan, China and Afghanistan in Kabul. It is also reported that they have opposed the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan August 15 “Independence Day” fields marking the United States and the Allied forces’ exit from Afghanistan.
The arrests come in the midst of the renewed coordination of terrorism between Pakistan and Afghanistan, where Islamabad repeatedly urges Kabul to act against TTP shraws and facilitators operating on Afghan Earth.
Islamabad has also claimed that TTP has formed a Nexus with other terrorist groups, especially those operating in Balochistan, including the forbidden Balochistan Liberation Army (Bla) and its notorious Majeed Brigade. Pakistan’s claim is approved by the UN Security Council, which confirmed TTP-BLA/Majeed Brigade Nexus in his latest report.
