An Afghan citizen involved in terrorism in Pakistan was killed during an operation performed by security forces in the Data Khel area of Khyber-Pakhwa Province’s North Waziristan District on February 6, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations ( Ispr) Saturday.
The individual was later identified as Luqman Khan, also known as Nusrat, son of Kamal Khan, resident of Spera district, Khost Province, Afghanistan.

Pakistan has approached the preliminary Afghan government to take over the individual’s body and be an Afghan citizen, ISPR said in his statement.
“Such events are undeniable evidence of involving Afghan nationals in terrorist activities in Pakistan. The preliminary Afghan government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan land of terrorists to perpetuate terrorist acts against Pakistan, ”the statement added.
Pakistan has repeatedly called on Afghan authorities to prevent militant groups from using Afghan territory to launch attacks within its borders, a point of continuous tension between the two countries.
Security forces killed three militants during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Data Khel area of North Waziristan, according to a statement from ISPR Friday. The operation that was performed on the night of 6-7. February, follow -up reports followed the presence of militants in the region.
The military’s media wing stated that during surgery troops successfully targeted the location of militants, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists. The militants allegedly tried to escape while they were disguised in Burqas.
The deceased terrorists were found in possession of weapons and ammunition. According to ISPR, they were involved in several terrorist activities in the region. After surgery, there is currently a sanitization mission to eliminate remaining threats in the area.
