Security forces killed 30 Khawariji terrorists who tried to infiltrate the country from Afghanistan during operations performed over two nights in North Waziristan, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), put in a press release on Friday.
The movement of a large group of terrorists, identified as Khawarij, which belonged to the Indian proxy group Fitna Al Khawarij, was detected in the evening 1-2 and 2-3.
Security forces engaged the group and “prevented Indian sponsored Khawariji terrorists’ attempts to infiltrate,” ISPR said in a statement.
The military said a large amount of weapons, ammunition and explosives were regained from the site.
According to ISPR, the killed terrorists were involved in several terrorist attacks, including those aimed at civilian and law enforcement staff.
ISPR called on the temporary Afghan government to prevent the use of Afghan land by “foreign proxies” to orchestration of terrorist activities against Pakistan.
The military reiterated that Pakistan’s security forces remain “decisive and unwavering” in their commitment to defend the nation’s borders and eliminate Indian sponsored terrorism from the country.
