Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said Pakistan, as a responsible state, responded positively to the ceasefire considering regional peace and well -being of millions of people living in this region.
In a television address to the Nation, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that all the outstanding problems, including the water distribution, Jammu and Kashmir, and all other unresolved problems would now be decided by holding negotiations and adopting a peaceful path.
The Prime Minister wholeheartedly congratulated the nation of demonstrating for the world that their self -respect and dignity were more precious than life itself and added: “If someone challenges their sovereignty, they stand like an iron wall and over -mark their enemies”.
“What the enemy did was a fair and shameful act – naked aggression,” said the prime minister, noting that the brave and professional armed forces provided a very effective answer that would be remembered as a defining chapter in modern warlings.
He said under the pretext of the Pahagam incident, India tried to pull Pakistan to war, despite Pakistan’s immediate offerings to cooperate in an impartial and transparent international investigation.
In the light of a flurry of false accusations, Pakistan showed restraint and patience, said the prime minister, adding that India was trying to infiltrate Pakistani territory with drones and missile attacks aimed at innocent civilians and mosques, while also testing Pakistan’s patience with botched strikes on military installations and wager resources.
The prime minister said that, after repeated actions of aggression, Pakistan chose to respond in nature – a language that the enemy understood well.
He said Pakistan made it clear that the negotiations intended for the table would now take place on the battlefield.
He praised the armed forces in Pakistan and said that their soldiers were not aware of the concept of “defeat”.
He said that within a few hours, Pakistan’s powers dampened enemy cannons, and the world would remember how they turned the enemy air bases, installations and stocks to ash. “Even Rafale failed in the meeting.”
The prime minister said their struggle was against an outdated mindset that was rooted in hatred, aggression, religious bigotry and anti-humanity. “This is a victory for the truth and our principles,” he said, adding that Pakistan was responding to the enemy in a way that is considered appropriate by a respected nation.
The 240 million people in the country expressed their unwavering support and love for the tapping armed forces that stuck next to them throughout the conflict.
He also thanked the nation for their prayers for the success of the armed forces and said that the Almighty had given them a huge victory as a result.
On this historic victory he paid tribute to chairman Joint Chiefs for the Staff Committee Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Navy Manager Admiral Naveed Ashraf and any officer and staff in the armed forces.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Gen Asim Munir on behalf of himself and the whole nation of his wise and bold leadership leading to victory. He also praised the air manager and his eagles to make the nation proud.
The prime minister thanked US President Donald Trump for his sincere role in facilitating the ceasefire.
He also expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Türkiye, Qatar, Britain, UN Secretary General and other stakeholders for their constructive role in facilitating the ceasefire.
The Prime Minister mentioned in particular Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, Mohamed bin Zayed, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad and President Tayyip Erdogan, who stood with Pakistan as brothers.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Chinese leadership, including President Xi Jinping and the Chinese people for their unprecedented and historical support.
He also remembered Irtaza Abbas Shaheed, who embraced Martry during Indian aggression and expressed sympathy with the surviving families who lost their members.
He thanked all allies and opposition parties as well as all political leadership and parliament for their unprecedented unity and solidarity. He also acknowledged his leader, Nawaz Sharif, for his wise leadership and experience, and President Asif Zardari for his valuable consultations.
The Prime Minister praised Media Person and users of social media for effectively counteracting Indian fake news through responsible reporting and professional integrity and expressing hope that this precedent would serve as an indicative example that goes on.
When he expressed his firm faith, he said that after overcome this crisis, all governments and institutions would focus their energy against Pakistan’s progress and prosperity and promised not to rest until the country ensures its rightful place among the nations’ committee.
Separately, the Prime Minister reached out to the country’s political leadership, including President Asif Ali Zardari, to inform them of Pakistan’s effective reaction to India through operation “Bunyan-Al-Marsous”.
He urged the president of Aiwan-e-Sadr. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar together with Minister of Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar was also present at the meeting, according to a statement from the president’s office.
President Zardari paid tribute to the extraordinary professionalism and bravery of the country’s armed forces for giving an appropriate answer to Indian unprovoked aggression and missile attacks.
The president confirmed that Pakistan, as a responsible and peace -loving nation, had shown significant restraint in the light of Indian provocations. He regretted that continued Indian warfare had left Pakistan without any opportunity than to respond resolutely to defense of its sovereignty and to protect his citizens.
The president emphasized that the entire Pakistani nation is united and resolutely supporting its armed forces in the light of Indian aggression. He repeated Pakistan’s unwavering obligation to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs.
At the ceasefire between Pakistan and India, President Zardari confirmed his faith in the country’s armed forces and praised their appropriate reaction to Indian aggression and defended the sovereignty of the country.
“I’ve always had faith in the armed forces in Pakistan – the army, fleet and air force,” he said, according to a statement from the president’s secretariat.
“Their response to the aggressor India has been appropriate and we have severely bulged their so -called military power.”
President Zardari declared that the courage and decision demonstrated by Pakistan’s armed forces is a testimony of the force derived from the two nation theory and the country’s unwavering belief in almighty. “As an Islamic state, our faith gave us the courage and strength to stand against a country five times our size,” he noted.
The president expanded his heartfelt congratulations to the Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir, chief of air staff chief Marshall Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, chief of naval staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and all weapons of the military, whose restless efforts and bravery led to this victory. “The nation must cheer and also pray for those who embraced shahadat,” he said.
In the repetition of Pakistan’s principle attitude, the president emphasized that sustained peace in South Asia is linked to the righteous and final solution of the Jammu and Kashmir conflict in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council’s decisions, in addition to solving other outstanding problems with India, especially the Indus Waters Treaty.
President Zardari also expressed gratitude to all friendly countries, including the United States, Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi -Arabia, Iran and especially China, who stood with Pakistan for an hour of turbulence.
If affirming Pakistan’s involvement in peace, the president said, “Pakistan seeks peace, not provocation. But we will never compromise on our sovereignty.”
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister had a telephone conversation with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who expressed gratitude for his support for Pakistan’s retaliatory action, Operation Bunyan-Al-Maroos, in response to Indian aggression.
He thanked Bilawal for standing firm with the government and the nation in this critical time, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.
“Your support for the country’s principle and powerful reaction to India’s hostile actions is deeply appreciated,” the prime minister said.
On the other hand, the PPP chairman praised the prime minister for his exemplary leadership during a period of increased tension. He also praised the professionalism and determination of the Pakistani armed forces in Pakistan to deliver a strong reaction to Indian provocations.
“We greet the armed forces for their courage and professional expertise in responding to Indian aggression,” Bilawal said. “The whole nation is united with our military in the defense of Pakistan’s sovereignty.”
During the conversation, both leaders emphasized the importance of political unity and national decision in the light of external threats.
The premiere also held telephone conversations with Awami National Party (ANP) Chief Aimal Wali Khan and Istehkam-E-Pakistan Party (IPP) leading Abdul Aleem Khan to discuss the regional situation.
The Prime Minister informed both leaders of recent development and took them into confidence in Pakistan’s attitude and actions in response to rising tensions with India, a statement from the Prime Minister’s office said.
Aimal and Aleem expressed gratitude for having heard and expanded full support for the government’s retaliatory measures during Operation Bunyan-Al-Marsous.
Political leaders praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership during the recent crisis and called it “exemplary” in light of rising regional tensions.
They also praised the professional expertise and unwavering decisions for the Pakistani armed forces and praised the military’s rapid and crucial reaction to external threats.
“The whole nation is united with our brave armed forces by defending our beloved homeland,” both leaders confirmed during their discussions with the Prime Minister.

“Alhamdulillah, the armed forces in Pakistan have today given a powerful and well -coordinated answer to India’s unprovoked aggression,” Premier said. “India launched missile and drone attacks on Pakistan, targeted at Noor Khan Airbase and elsewhere early this morning, killing innocent civilians.”
Despite repeated provocations, he said, Pakistan had exercised restraint. He remembered how Pakistan, after the Pahagam event, had demanded an impartial investigation – an offered India rejected. However, Saturday’s assault left Pakistan with no choice other than responding resolutely.
The Prime Minister confirmed that Pakistan’s retaliatory action during Operation Bunyan-Al-Marsous specifically targeted Indian military installations involved in the attacks. “Today we have delivered a resounding answer and avenged the innocent blood,” he said. “We are proud of our armed forces.”
The premiere congratulated the nation and praised the armed forces for their bravery and professionalism.
The country’s supreme political leaders repeated their support and welcoming military calm and tactical expertise. They also promised full solidarity with the government and armed forces during this critical time.
“Professionalism from our armed forces of defending the homeland deserves the highest praise,” said the joint political leadership, insured the prime minister of their united support.
On the other hand, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for their clear and unwavering support and emphasized the importance of national unity in the light of external threats.
