- Orange Pi Ai Studio Pro offers 192 GB memory and 352 tops AI —DEAVATE
- Limited connection could hinder the adoption in spite of double Huawei Ascend 310 processors inside
- Device supports Linux, with Windows Compatibility promised in upcoming releases
Orange PI has revealed an AI-focused compact computer pushing the limits of what a mini-PC can be.
The orange PI AI Studio Pro supports up to 192 GB LPDDR4X memory, a huge amount of RAM to a system that is as small – but as impressive as it is, it is the onboard calculation effect that really stands out.
Driven by a double Huawei Ascend 310 Setup, it is claimed to be able to deliver 352 trillion operations per day. Second in AI workloads – far beyond what most consumer processors marketed for AI can deliver.
But what about gates?
For example, AMDS RYZEN AI MAX+ 395, which appears in a growing number of Mini -PCs, is rated at 50 tops, which means Studio Pro occurs far more capable – at least on paper.
It is worth pointing out that these numbers are only for AI tasks rather than general calculation of performance, so it is clear that Orange PI wants to place its hardware for dedicated machine learning and inference work at the desk or edge.
Orange PI says the system is able to handle local implementations of large distilled models such as Deepseek-R1 along with applications in office automation, content generation, IoT and smart transport.
The unit is available with either 96 GB or 192 GB of memory running up to 4266 Mbps.
Cooling is handled by twin fans and the casing includes power control, LED indicators and even RGB lighting.
However, connection is very limited as the only available high-speed port is a single USB4 connection, which means that buyers probably need a node or dock to attach screens, external storage and the like.
The device is running Ubuntu 22.04.5 with Linux 5.15 only at the moment but Windows support is coming.
Orange Pi Ai Studio Pro is price from about $ 1,900 for the 96 GB edition, with the 192 GB model, which costs about $ 2,200.
Lists show that the system is currently for sale in China, but it can also be purchased internationally through AliExpress.
