Aimee Lou Wood has kept no secret that she has quirks. But what she praises is that her fans accept her as who she is.
“I think about the people who thank me for being weird because it means they can embrace their wondrics,” The white lotus Stars add in an interview with Radio Times.
When someone negative thoughts cross her mind, the actress says she remains attentive. “It gives me confidence in the days when the little demon sometimes comes back.”
Meanwhile, it’s no secret that Aimee, as a teenager, fought for social anxiety, obsessive thoughts, ADHD, body dysmorphia and bulimia.
“I get it so bad after social situations: Occupied, repeated thoughts,” I really said? It was weird. “
In a separate interview, Aimee looks back on growing up with the conditions that her comrades did not have.
“When I grew up, I felt a deep need to be ‘normal’, but then I realized that all my favorite people … were weird – even my favorite characters, like Jane Eyre,” the star refers to the character of Charlotte Bronté’s novel.
In the end, Aimee explains his self -acceptance for his diagnosis by thinking about it as a “superpower.”
“Beauty is internal, and I’m my own human self and it’s ok. I don’t have to fit into any box,” she concludes.
