The federal cabinet has decided to expand the service of the air chef Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, recognizing his role in securing national security during Operation Bunyanum Mursoos, launched after Indian missiler attacks.
Pakistan Air Force (PAF) demonstrated unique skill and professionalism by shooting down five Indian fighter jets in retaliation for India’s missile strike.
The abandoned aircraft included three Rafale jet aircraft, a MIG-29, an SU-Series aircraft and an Israeli-made Heron fight drone. Jets were shot down in several places, including Bhatinda, Jammu, Akhnoor, Srinagar and Avantipur.

The decision to extend the service of air manager Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu was made during a meeting in the federal cabinet on Tuesday chairman of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.
In unanimous steps, the federal government expanded the service of the air -chief -large Sidhu, whose tenure was about to be completed.
The cabinet also decided to honor military staff, war veterans, martyrs and civilians from various sectors with high state awards in recognition of their services during Operation Bunyanum Mursoos.

Previously, the federal cabinet promoted the Chief of Army Staff (Coas) General Syed Asim Munir to rank as field marsh.
The cabinet told India at night on 6-7. Launched India an “unprovoked and unjustified” attack on Pakistan aimed at civilian areas, including women and children. “The attack of the Indian military was an obvious violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the cabinet noted.
The armed forces, under General Munir’s leadership, responded with exemplary courage and coordination, the statement said. Prime Minister praised Coas Asim Munir for demonstrating “Extraordinary military leadership, bravery and strategic command.”
In recognition of his gallant defense of the homeland and the leadership that secured Pakistan’s sovereignty, the cabinet has approved Prime Minister Shehbaz’s recommendation to promote General Asim Munir to the rank of field marshal.
