Air Chief Marshal Sidhu’s Landmark Us Visit Strengthen Pak-US Defense Ties

In a significant development aimed at strengthening bilateral defense cooperation, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) headed the head of the aerial air manager Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu an official visit to the United States of America.

The visit marks the first of a serving PAF manager for over a decade and acts as a strategic milestone in Pakistan-US Defense Relations, Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement issued on Wednesday.

The high -profile visit that was successfully completed turned out to help elaborate on institutional ties while treating important regional and global security issues, it added.

During his visit, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu engaged a number of high -level meetings with senior US military and political leadership, focusing on promoting military cooperation, improving interoperability and exploring ways of joint education and technology exchange, says ISPR.

At the Pentagon, the air manager lime met Sidhu with secretary of the Air Force (International Affairs) Kelli L Seybolt and the US Air Force Manager for Staff General David W Allvin.

During these discussions, the commander of the air staff emphasized the historical and multifaceted relationship between Pakistan and the United States, especially in defense and security cooperation, the statement states.

The negotiations were centered to promote bilateral military cooperation, improve the interoperability between the two air forces and explore opportunities for common training programs and technology exchange.

The air manager confirmed his commitment to further improving military-to-military cooperation between the two nations, which highlighted the importance of continued high-level military engagements.

Both sides agreed to continue interactions at senior level to maintain momentum in their ongoing collaboration efforts, especially in joint training, operational exercises and military exchange programs, says ISPR.

In addition to meetings in the Pentagon, Air Chief visited the US Department of State, where he met with Brown L Stanley from the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs and Eric Meyer of the Bureau of South & Central Asian Affairs.

These discussions emphasized Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional stability, its permanent obligation to combat terrorism and its nuanced perspective on developing geopolitical dynamics of South and Central Asia, the statement added.

Further engagements took place at Capitol Hill, where air manager lime Sidhu held material dialogues with prominent members of the US Congress, including Mike Turner, Rich McCormick and Bill Huizenga.

These interactions provided an important platform to strengthen the importance of robust bilateral connections, share Pakistan’s views on strategic challenges and tackle the impact of new technologies on defense cooperation, says ISPR.

Throughout his visit, Air Chief Pakistan emphasized the status of a peace -loving nation. He confirmed the country’s sustained victims and notable operational results in the global war on terror.

The air manager also highlighted Pakistan’s evolving security calculation in response to the rapidly changing regional geopolitical landscape and emphasized Pakistan’s role in regional and global peacekeeping efforts, added.

The landmark visit not only confirmed PAF’s obligation to promote regional and global peace, but also laid the foundation for renewed institutional cooperation, strategic dialogue and improved interoperability between PAF and the US Air Force, the statement concluded.
