Rawalpindi:
A temporary airspace closure at Islamabad Airport resulted in unexpected disturbances in the flight plan on Friday, which led to minor delays for passengers at Islamabad International Airport.
According to details provided by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) spokesperson, FIA’s immigration section successfully treated the immigration of 2,847 passengers within three hours thanks to fast and effective measures.
All 14 counters at the FIA departure departure section remained fully operational, and a total of 12 international flights traveled to different destinations in the same three hour window on Friday.
The spokesman also noted that the sudden redevelopment led to an unusually large number of passengers who gave up at the same time.
Nevertheless, FIA Immigration carried out all screenings and approvals in full accordance with established protocols and regulations. The department confirmed its unwavering obligation to provide effective, fast and high quality services to all travelers at all times.
