Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Chief Justice Raja Saeed Akram visited a courtesy visit to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Yahya Afridi at the Supreme Court in Pakistan on Friday.
During the meeting, Justice Akram expanded his heartfelt congratulations to Justice Afridi by assuming the country’s highest legal office. He conveyed his best wishes for Afridi’s term of office and emphasized the importance of strengthening the rule of law and ensuring the effective exemption of justice.
Both dignitaries deal with a constructive exchange of views on issues of mutual interest, confirming their commitment to legal cooperation and institutional development.
CJ Khan formally invited CJ Afridi to participate in Azad Jammu and Kashmir International Judicial Conference, scheduled for May 10, 2025.
The conference will bring together legal experts, members of the judiciary and scholars to discuss central legal and legal issues, including the uniqueness of AJK’s legal structure, the development of case law in AJK and international laws regarding Jammu and Kashmir.
