Al Pacino has earned many recognitions in his career, but his recent encounter with the American pope marked a great milestone when he became the first movie star to meet him.
In a statement released by the film’s producer Andrea Iervolino, “We are honored to announce that his Holiness Pope Leo XIV this morning received in a private audience in Holy See a delegation from the movie ‘Maserati: The Brothers,’ Including Oscar -Winner Actor Al Pacino and the film’s producer Andrea Iervolino.”
It continued, “The meeting was a moment of in -depth spiritual and cultural inspiration, centered on shared values that lie in the heart of both the Catholic Church and the film: Family Unit, Love, Compassion and the Importance of Contribute to the Common Good.”
“These values, which Pope Leo XIV has consistently emphasized in his recent messages to the world, resonates deeply with the story of the Maserati brothers: A family whose inheritance was built not only on innovation and expertise, but on deep mutual respect, solidarity and a shared vision,” noted the statement.
Meanwhile, the Italian media reported that Pacino was reaching Rome in a private jet on Sunday.
