Alan Ritchson explains how he conveyed feelings without dialogues in Motor City.
Alan’s bloody and exciting action movies are almost dialogue -free. Instead, the film brings action -to life with gripping performances, stylized visuals and an impressive soundtrack.
Alan that is filming Reacher Season 4, told Black, “There’s just nothing like that, it’s a super-unique and super-artistic movie. Obviously, it’s a huge choice to not trust dialogue, but I want this to be commercial, I want everyone to enjoy this, and it’s not just being for a little niche public. And I think we did.”
Motor City is ready to premiere in Venice during the Film Festival, but the main star may not be able to participate as he is on the set of Reacher.
When asked how it should act without dialogues, he said, “It’s really difficult. I love the tool that language gives us to convey emotions. I guess we sometimes use it as a bit of crutch. Sometimes we overuse it for exhibition.”
He admitted that it is a “small scary” not to be able to use language, but also “exciting.”
Alan noted that for his “supercharged” character in the film has lost everything and “has been betrayed again and again and would have revenge,” the instinct would have been to “tilt out in a physical way.”
“But I think a tranquility where we are trying to keep the lid on it is more interesting. For me, this movie was more about the duel between the stillness of internal rage and that it would perch outward,” he added.
Next to Alan Ritchson, Motor City Stars Shailene Woodley.
