Alchemy acquires Solana -Developer DexterLab for non -published fee

Blockchain Development Platform Alchemy said it has acquired Solana developer DexterLab for a non -published fee.

The acquisition will accelerate the development of Solana-based web3 applications to meet the growing demand for the company, Alchemy said in an email message Friday.

Dexterlab’s technology has previously driven the Solana development of Google and the Solana Foundation and establishes itself as “a go-to infrastructure provider” according to Alchemy’s announcement.

One of Alchemy’s goals of acquiring DexterLab is to consolidate Solana development along with Ethereums to reduce the complexity of projects that build across multiple networks.

Alchemy may be trying to capture the growing prominence of Solana as a preferred place for blockchain applications.

While Ethereum remains comfortably the larger blockchain with regard to total value locked, there are some measurements where Solana may require the climb. For example, active addresses on Solana have been over 210 million in the last three months, while Ethereum and Ethereum Layer-2 addresses are just under 80 million. Transactions at Solana also have the number of Ethereum: 4.75 billion to 1 billion.
