Alec Baldwin opens up his divorce with Kim Basinger in 2002 and how it still affects his parents.

Alec, who shares daughter Ireland with Kim, opened up the divorce under his and wife Hilaria’s reality show Baldwins. was “unnecessarily difficult” and changed his relationship with Ireland.

“My divorce with Ireland’s mother wasn’t easy. It’s not easy. Very long, very expensive. I mean, just insanity, just insane,” Alec said in a confessional.

“I was on a plane every other week throughout the school year. I flew back and forth from New York to Los Angeles 18 times a year. Got a house like eight doors down from my daughter and her mother, and then I thought it would improve things and it didn’t improve things. So it was still difficult and unnecessarily difficult that way,” he shared.

“Because my relationship with Ireland was so negatively affected by my experience there that was divorced from her mother that when it comes to these other children, I bring all that luggage into this situation, unfortunately,” he admitted.

“This is why I think I’m so focused on parents on this level, if you want to be, to be a lot and take them to school most days instead of working,” he explained.
