Toshakhana 2.0 Case

Last year, Islamabad awarded the High Court (IHC) bail to former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana 2.0 case.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb approved guarantee facilities against bail bonds of RS1 million each and ordered him to act for the trial after his release.

According to the reference, Bushra Bibi received a Bulgari jewelry set – including a ring, bracelet, necklace and earrings – by visiting Saudi -Arabia from May 7 to May 10, 2021. Investigators claim that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi illegally preserved the set.

On May 28, 2021, the total value of the jewelry was estimated to RS75.661.600, including RS56,496,000 for the necklace and RS15.065,600 for the earrings. According to the Toshakhana rules, the set should have been declared to RS35,765,800 after 50 percent payment.

The Nab reference claims that the set was underrated, which resulted in a loss of RS32.851,300 to the national tax.

Toshakhana fake receipts

Former Prime Minister and Bushra Bibi was booked in a fraud case in Islamabad’s Kohsar police station for allegedly having produced false receipts related to the sale of state gifts ..

According to FIR, the defendants are alleged to have submitted forged receipts to facilitate the purchase and sale of Toshakhana gifts using a counterfeit signature to the alleged transaction.

According to the complaint filed by a local watchman, the defendant allegedly used his shop with forged letter head to generate fake invoices to Toshakhana gifts.

“The defendant tried to harm my company’s reputation by generating fake invoices,” the complainant said in FIR.

The case comes on the basis of claims that Imran Khan could not reveal details of Toshakhana gifts preserved during his term of office as prime minister.
