Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur held an unusual meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on Monday, sparking considerable political attention.

The meeting, which lasted for an hour, reportedly focused on the province’s law and order situation, party affairs and political affairs, Express News reported.

Sources revealed that the CM arrived at Adiala jail with full official protocol and got direct entry through GATE no. 5 and surrounded standard procedures. For the meeting, Khan was moved from his prison cell to a conference room.

According to sources, the two leaders engaged in a detailed discussion on various issues including development projects and the security situation in KP.

Another important topic discussed was the upcoming rally scheduled for February 8 in Peshawar. During the meeting, the PTI founder issued several directives to the chief minister about the event’s preparations and related strategies.

After the one hour meeting in the conference room, CM Gandapur left for Islamabad without talking to the media. The meeting has raised speculation about its implications for the political landscape in KP and the wider national context.
