Alibaba and Wix have announced a new partnership that will see customers on both platforms take advantage of the other’s features and services.
In a press release shared with Techradar Prosaid the two companies that the collaboration will melt Alibaba’s wholesale ecosystem with WIX’s website builder and E -trading infrastructure.
According to the agreement, WIX Merchants gain access to Alibaba’s B2B market space by simply downloading the Alibaba Seller app via Wix Marketplace. This will, among other things, allow them to become global gold suppliers and connect directly with millions of verified global buyers.
At the same time, Alibaba’s salespeople will build branded B2B and D2C stores using WIX’s AI-powered solutions. Through the partnership, they will be able to use WIX’s E -trading automation solutions as well as built -in marketing, simplify the development of brand identity and reach a global audience – easy.
Win-win
The partnership centers around three key initiatives -Seller App Integration for Easy Onboarding and Cross -Platform Product Syncing, Curated Sourcing from Alibaba.com Wholesale Marketplace, tailored to Wix Merchants and Access to Wix’s AI Suite for Alibaba.com Sellers to quickly build and scale their digital shops.
Leaders from both companies framed the move as a victory for small businesses navigating the complexity of global trade.
“Our WIX partnership simplifies the complexity of international trade,” said Kuo Zhang, President of Alibaba.com, “small businesses offer streamlined solutions for sourcing, sales and expansion of their global reach.”
For Nir Zohar, President of Wix, the move opens “Powerful new opportunities for our users to exploit international wholesale markets, while also giving Alibaba.com -merchants the opportunity to make stronger, more direct connections with their customers.”
The development will be phased in, the two companies said in the press release with a number of features and improvements already planned for the future. Among them are AI-driven product discovery, automated onboarding processes and intelligent product-matching tools.
