Full spoilers follow for Alien: Earth Season 1, including its eighth and last episode.
The last episode of Alien: Earth‘s first season has emerged from its ovomorph. And with, for example, the TV -Eriginal, which dominated the entertainment news cycle since it premiered in late August, I would expect what’s happening in its latest chapter, entitled ‘The Real Monsters’, to trigger lots of fan debates in the foreseeable future.
In the midst of the conversations that are already raging online after its release, I suppose you have questions about Hulu and Disney+ Show’s latest post. Below I will do my best to answer your biggest queries about ‘The Real Monsters’ and how it can set things up to a possible success season.
This is your last warning: Larger spoilers immediately follow for all Alien: Earth Season 1. Return now if you’ve still got episodes back to watch, including its finale.
Who dies in Alien: Earth Season 1 Section 8?
No one important. Actually in a rare move for a project that is set in Alien The universe, its greatest players survive the events of the show’s season 1 final.
In fact, all the remaining hybrids – Wendy/Marcy, Nibs, Smee, Light and Curly – are not just live to fight for another day, but end up taking over Prodigy Corporation after rebelling against their creators and those who were responsible.
It includes Prodigy founder Boy Kavalier, his right Mandatom Eins, leading scientist Dame Sylvia and Hybrids’ synthetic surrogate father in Kirsh, all rounded and imprisoned by Wendy and company in one of Prodigy’s prison cells with several people.
This quartet is also associated with Weyland-Yutani Cyborg Morrow. Morrow was imprisoned after his capture in section 7, and despite breaking out his cell in ‘The Real Monsters’, he has been re -captured and detained again.
So who actually bites the dust? Only a few supporting characters in Siberian and Rashidi.
Siberian is killed by the carnivorous plant monster – it only took eight episodes for us to finally see it in action! -This escapes from his research laboratory -based containment cell in section 8. As for Rashidi, we do not see him die, but given that he is not part of the group imprisoned at the end of this input, I suspect he has been killed outside the camera.
“But what about CJ?” I hear you crying. Don’t worry he is still alive. Midway through section 8, Smee Wendy/Marcy is reminiscent of the fact that, despite what CJ did with Nibs at the end of section 7, he is still on the hybrid side. He is not imprisoned as the others are, then – although after the concerned expression on the face of the final’s final scene is clear that CJ does not agree with Wendy and Company that takes responsibility for Prodigy.
Who becomes Eyeball Monster’s new human host in Alien: Earth?
No one expected it to be. In fact, with boys cavalis actually suggests that he would sacrifice a specific human being to Trypanohyncha ocellus (T. ocellus) – it is also lovingly known as ‘Eyeleen’ and ‘The Eye’ – fans were convinced that they had prepared who had been preparing who Alien: Earth‘s fan-favorite Eyeball Creature would take over next time.
I even discussed the three most likely candidates to become T. ocellus’ new human host, with CJ, Dame Sylvia and Morrow were my choices for some non-consensual ocular and brain-based surgery with the permission of the eight-glue monstrosity.
It turns out that we all had wrong. In a shocking reversal of events, the eye takes over the degrading body of Arthur, Ladies recently deceased man and colleagues with wonderful child.
I admit that I found it weird that ‘the real monsters’ open on a shot of Arthur’s corpse. After his death in the hands of a breast-breaking Xenomorph in section 7, Arthur’s body was effortlessly thrown away by Morrow and Weyland-Yutanis invading forces before this chapter ended. Since then, Arthur’s dead body has clearly flushed up one of Prodigy’s Neverland Island’s beaches and become a potentially tasty meal for the enclav’s native crab population.
However, there is a specific reason why we were shown Arthur’s corpse because ocellus not only finds it, but is also able to physically possess it and reanate it for his own villainous reasons.
It didn’t always look (word games fully intended) as this scenario would play out. Midway through Section 8, it seemed that CJ would become ocellus’ new human host after he was created boy cavalis and atomic Eins. Thanks to Wendy/Marcy’s intervention, however, ocellus was prevented from taking CJ for a spin as LifeForm’s new bipedal home.
Long story Short: OCELLUS flees from the stage via a floor valve, gets out of the facility and eventually stumbles over Arthur’s corpse on the coastline. After inspecting the carcass, Ocellus Arthur’s left eye replaces and uses its other parasitic functions to effectively revive Arthur, albeit completely under its control.
Who is Steven Dimarco, the sixth dead child, whose grave we see in Alien: Earth’s Season 1 final?
The answer to this question is pretty obvious, but some viewers may be confused about who Steven is, so it’s worth giving one here.
Steven is the real name of Tootles/Isaac, the hybrid played by Kit Young. Before he was killed by the acid-peaking, artificial material-eating fly-like beings in section 6, Tootles/Isaac was the other hybrid created by Prodigy with Wendy, Nibs, Smee, Lety and Curly. This means that there were six terminally ill children whose consciousnesses were transferred to the artificial organs they have occupied since Alien: Earth‘s premiere.
Given that Tootles/Isaac died two chapters ago, some audience members could have forgotten him. As such, when Dame Sylvia visits the Children’s Cemetery at the start of section 8, some fans may be confused about why there are six tombstones. Well there’s your answer!
Does Alien: Earth Season 1’s finale a mid-circuit or post-credits scene?
No. When the final credits roll on ‘The Real Monsters’, there are no further scenes to stick to.
You must sit through the final credits to go through to appreciate the large number of people working on the series. But if you remain seated with hope that there will be a Marvel style teasing at the end, you will be seriously disappointed.
Will there be a foreigner: Earth Season 2?
Possibly. Showrunner/Creator Noah Hawley has said he is watching Alien: Earth‘s story that runs for several seasons. In fact, when he spoke to Variety ahead of Season 1’s debut, he suggested that the Sci-Fi Horror series could last for up to five seasons.
Recently, Hawley told the development of Horror YouTube channel that he already knows where the plot will go in Season 2 if it’s green. However, nothing has been officially confirmed by eg Networks, alias the study on the back Alien: EarthSo we have to see if the show was popular enough to guarantee at least one more eight-part rate.
What will happen in Alien: Earth Season 2?
Again, here is nothing official to report but it won’t stop me speculating on what could happen if Alien: Earth is renewed to another season.
For starters, there is the immediate fall of the hybrid takeover of wonderful child. With a significant number of Weyland-Yutani troops in-depth, it will be fascinating to see how Prodigy’s most important rival will respond to his billionaire founder DVS. Boy Kavalier-there is unsurpiced by the very things he created. I can imagine that Wendy and Company also do not hand over any alien life forms to Weyland-Yutani. So while Yutani, Megacorp’s own CEO, may think it’s funny that boy has been locked by the hybrids, she will probably be unhappy with Wendy’s refusal to give them her Xenomorphs, nor will she be glad Morrow has been jailed by the gang.
When we talk about the dangerous extraterrestrials that Prodigy stole from Weyland-Yutani, the carnivorous plant system and ocellus are now loose on the island. I suppose the latter will continue to play a big role next season, especially if its ultimate goal is to bind to someone as intelligent as a boy. As for Flora-Esque Monster and other foreign life forms, your guess is as good as mine as how they will be used throughout season 2.
There is definitely more melodrama at the game next time. I would be surprised if one or more of the other four hybrids continue to follow Wendy’s lead as Season 2’s plot progresses and it will be exciting to see if the level of trust between CJ and Wendy continues on its downward course. There are also the prospect of the imprisoned people, cyborgs and other synthetic drugs, such as Kirsh, which form a troubled alliance to try to take back control of the facility. So don’t be surprised if you find yourself rooted for characters that you originally did not like and/or handrails against people whose side you were previously on.
In the end, it would be too much to ask to see the other megacorporations running Planet Earth – Threshold, Lynch and Dynamic – show up and play an active role in the case? Weyland-Yutani and Prodigy can continue to be central to Alien: Earthstorytelling, but it would be cool to see the other conglomerates wading into the crisis and further complicating cases, especially if they want to take advantage of Prodigy’s current situation. Doing it then loses Hawley.
