Amal Clooney does not follow the telephone rule in his home.
The 47-year-old British lawyer, who is married to Hollywood star, George Clooney and has eight-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander with him, mentioned how her guests can’t use phones in her place, for the sake of her family’s privacy.
“Creating private moments and spaces is becoming increasingly difficult. But that’s also why we entertain a lot at home,” she said Glamor.
The Human Rights activist continued, “I now have a phone basket that I use to take everyone’s phones away!”
“It’s important to get the balance where you have time alone with your family and with your friends where people want to have a safe and honest exchange,” Amal added.
In addition, she also admitted that it was motherhood that changed her view of privacy as a person who remains under the limelight.
“And I would say that becoming a parent means that you are more worried by some of the intrusion,” she said.
“So we do the best we can to minimize any influence on our children. We don’t put our kids out there; we’ve never put their photo out there or something similar,” concluded Amal Clooney.
Meanwhile, her husband earlier said how being married and having children has made him realize how “lucky” he is.
“In marriage, and now with the kids, you give away the selfishness of just looking for yourself. It’s a wonderful thing. Amal and I talk about it every day. We feel so lucky,” George Clooney told PEOPLE Magazine about his married life.
