- Asrock has listed the non -released Ryzen 9 x3D CPUs on its website
- Ryzen 9 9950x3d and 9900x3D appear on the list of supported chips for AM5 motherboard
- This preparation work introduced into place may be a hint that these processors are soon in -depth
AMDS RYZEN 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D could soon be launched, or at least a motherboard manufacturer has dropped a hint that this may be the case.
Videocardz was especially Hawk-Eyed noticing that Asrock has updated its list of supported CPUs for motherboards with the AM5 chipset, and that Ryzen 9950x3D and 9900x3D are both now present on the list.
No other motherboard manufacturers have done this (at the time of writing), but the fact that Asrock has moved to do it now could be read as a suggestion that these processors are sold immediately.
So far, all AMD has made it revealed the flagship X3D -CHIP and its Ryzen 9 siblings (on CES 2025), without any indication of a release date, and besides, we have no price information yet.
Analysis: Multiple X3D Settings
There were rumors that AMD was aiming for a late January launch for its new X3D chips, Ryzen 9 -Taste, which joins the existing Ryzen 9800X3D, which was launched last year. But with only a few days after the month back now, it feels unlikely that this could still happen.
It is not impossible, the mind and the appearance of Ryzen 9950x3d and 9900x3d on the Asrock website at least indicates that a launch will soon come. If it’s not, why should Asrock bother to get these lists in place now? This can be a simple case of preparation, but then again …
I would be surprised if the launch of the new Ryzen 9 X3D models did not come in February and possibly early in the month. We may not see prices until AMD announces the impending release, but the MSRPs will be monitored with a lot of interest.
Ryzen 9800x3d is a great chip that is sold very well with PC players, and is still difficult to find on its MSRP (determined in the US, where you look at more like $ 600 for this CPU from third-party marketplace sellers at the likes of Newegg or Amazon, at the time of writing).
Ryzen 9950x3D and 9900x3D could offer a good alternative to those hunting for a 3D V-cache chip, which is not only good at games but for heavyweight consumption-with 9900x3d, which may not weigh much more than the third party price for 9800x3d (in theory anyway).
However, these incoming CPUs could end more expensive than expected – which is what happened to 9800x3D – and that’s still a problem for me. Especially with the flagship Ryzen 9950x3d, where AMD may have decided to really charge a prize.
AMD recently explained the relative forces of these Ryzen 9 models against the existing Ryzen 9800x3d and how the new CPUs will be equal to the latter for games – but will not be better than that until you look outside of game scenarios , there’s where Ryzen 9 Silicon really pulls stops.
These processors are certainly more niche affairs than Ryzen 9800x3d, but that said, with the turbulent launch that Intel’s rival arrow -sø -Desktop -CPUs have had so far, I expect the new X3D models to be relatively popular – Price dependent, as noticed – and maybe you show up relatively. In fact, AMD has previously blamed the stock shortage of 9800x3d on Intel’s ‘terrible’ core Ultra 200S launch of pointed demand for Ryzen CPU.
