American hockey star Zach Werenski responds to National Anthem Boos

The US and Canada’s 4 Nations Face-off matchup Saturday night quickly became a swallowing party as more players fell gloves after BOOS under “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

The Americans defeated Canada, 3-1, in the Bell Center in Montreal, but US defender Zach Werenski was unhappy with booing during the national anthem. In the NHL, Boos has been heard during the song after Trump announced customs duties in Canada, which has since been a break. The president has also teased Canadians with the idea that Canada became the “51st State.”
