Anchorage Digital CEO calls ‘Bullshit’ on Report on DHS -De

Anchorage Digital CEO Nathan McCauley refused reports that the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is investigating Crypto Bank and calls the reporting “Bullshit” during a panel discussion in Consensus 2025 in Toronto Wednesday

In an article published last month, the Business Publication Barrons reported that DHS’s money laundering and financial crimes, El Dorado Task Force, contacted former Anchorage employees to ask them about the company’s practice and policies. Neither Anchorage nor DHS commented the record for that story.

After the report, McCauley said his company asked his lawyers to investigate the allegations and found that they were untrue.

“There is no investigation of us, just as it is clearly clear at this time,” McCauley said. “That article is what some might call bullshit. Glad to clear the air on it.”

Anchorage Digital is widely considered one of the most regulatory compatible companies in the crypto area. In December, it achieved a very sought after and difficult to get bitlicense from the New York Department of Financial Services (Nydfs), one of the toughest regulators in Crypto Industry.
