Andor have shown different characters from the Star Wars universe. But what was missing was Cassian’s co-rebel in Rogue OneJyn Erso.
However, Showrunner Tony Gilroy was against her performance in the final.
“No,” he said EW. “I was asked that several times. I tried to draw some versions along the way what we would do. Section 12 is very unique.”
He continued, “It’s his own energy and we’re not trying to hype anything in 12. We always knew it wouldn’t be a low energy but another kind of episode.”
But excludes Jyn’s como in Andor Didn’t think Tony didn’t entertain the idea of adding grades from Rogue One.
“I couldn’t think of a way of getting something else from Rogue OneReally, ”he shared though. However, there was a scene in the Disney+ show that involved Cassian and Informant Tivic – which means it points to the stage where Rogue One has started.
“I always thought,” oh my god, I’ll have to tackle Tivic the Spy! “” The Creator said.
“Should I handle the Galen Erso? And was there anyone else? I really thought I should use Danny Mays as Tivic. I thought, ‘Well, we probably should.'”
In the end, Tony devoted the idea and said, “In the end, I realized that if people didn’t absolutely needed to be there, they shouldn’t.”
“And it would have been limp to bring Jyn back as a como. It would have been really disrespectful in a way. I’d rather honor Rogue and keep it straight.”
All episodes of Andor are available on Disney+.
