- An update to fast pair for Android is on the way
- The new interface has been seen in hidden code
- It makes it easier to watch battery life
If you have paired one of the best Android phones with one of the best pairs of wireless earplugs, you have a useful software upgrade to look forward to, according to Hidden Code, discovered in the latest Android update.
The Android Authority team made some graves in the Google Play Services app updated with Android, and noticed some changes to the fast -paced parlor -that’s the lightweight Bluetooth connection service built into Android.
When this update is actually enabled, you see color-coded circular battery-status beams, clearer labels so you know which earbud is which and battery indicators so you can see with a moment how much juice you have left in your buds.
You will still see the left earplug, the charging case and the right earbud as before – but these adjustments mean that the necessary information is presented in a more visually engaging way, and in a way that is easier to quickly assess.
Android vs iOS
Hidden code like this is typically used for features that are being rolled out or are in testing on a limited number of devices – most Android users will not see these updates yet, but the changed functionality is deeper.
Google hasn’t said anything about this update, so we don’t know exactly when the new look interface will emerge up and it can even be fine-tuned before Google decides it is ready to be pushed out to the masses.
Of course, it is quickly pair up against the very smooth and fast connection process you get with AirPods and iPhones. Also, all users need to make earplugs charged and a connection prompt appear on the iPhone screen.
Apple has also implemented a NEAT iOS battery status screen for AirPods, with neat and tidy graphics and battery charging indicators-but the updated interface that comes to Android is perhaps the best, but which presents this information in an intuitive way.
