- Gemini Ai has been seen in Android Auto
- Right now the answers could be more useful
- The upgrade is not available to everyone yet
Google has been busy pushing Gemini into as many of its apps and devices as it can -from smartphones to e -mail -and now it looks like the AI assistant is also debuting on the Android Auto Car Dashboard platform.
The team at Android Authority was able to get Google Gemini started with Android Auto, although the feature does not appear to be widely available yet. It may be some time before the upgrade is officially introduced along with a Google message.
In fact, it’s a surprise that it’s taken so long for Gemini to get their way to Android Auto, considering that it has pushed into so many other parts of Google EcoSystem, primarily at the expense of Google Assistant.
This early look gives us a good idea of how Gemini will fit into the Android Auto -interface, with an ‘Ask Gemini’ bar displayed along the bottom of the display in the car as you chat with the digital assistant. We will notify you as soon as Google announces an official roll -out plan.
More work needed

The Android Authority report mentions that Gemini -Service seems “somewhat generic” and not so useful at the moment -navigation requests are not included in your current location or different travel options, for example.
It may indicate that this is still an ongoing work for Google, with more improvements on the road before it goes live for everyone – after all, it’s pretty important for an AI helper to know where in the world you are when you use it in your vehicle.
Another area where Gemini came briefly in Android Authority’s testing was listing nearby food places. While offering a long list, it did not plotted the places on a map, which would be much more useful for drivers and passengers.
AI Bot was able to play songs from Spotify and managed other “routine tasks” and made good control of natural conversations on all kinds of topics – including the weather and famous landmarks – just as it would online or on mobile.
