- Gemini could get to Android Auto with precise location access
- The update would make Gemini more useful on the road
- Changes in the appearance of the colors of Android Auto have also been seen
We know that Gemini is on its way to Android Auto in the near future, and when the rollout finally gets started, it seems that the AI assistant will bring a useful upgrade with it: Access to your vehicle’s exact location.
This fine -tuning was discovered by the team at 9to5Google, hidden in the code for the latest beta version of the Android Auto app, V15.1. It seems that users will be able to choose whether to share accurate location information in the Android Auto settings.
The obvious benefits of giving Gemini full access to your location are of course navigation from A to B, and finding out about nearby places – for example, if you need to stop for gas or want to find the best coffee shop in an area.
You can use Google Maps on Android Auto for these tasks without Gemini, but if you need voice control and maybe a little extra AI help, Gemini will be most useful if it knows exactly where you are at any time.
Change of the colors
Gemini replaces Google Assistant across all Google’s apps and devices, and based on some tips dropped by Google leaders at the Pixel 10 launch event, AI Bot must reach Android Auto before the year is out.
We have already seen a preview of what Gemini can look like on the vehicle’s dashboards, and to a large extent Gemini AI will work exactly the same as on your phone, only on a larger screen.
Meanwhile, the people of Android Authority have seen something else in the latest Android Auto code: a less vibrant color palette that is not so saturated, with a primary color drawn from the chosen wallpaper.
It is possible that we will get the Gemini update and the revised color -sized settings at the same time, but we will have to wait to see exactly how they fit into the current interface – and as soon as Google officially starts, we will tell you.
